Vancouver

To remain within the limits our remaining fuel aboard is not sufficient. So we have to make a fuel stop at Port Hardy on our way to Vancouver. The early Pacific fog has not vanished completely upon arrival. Services on the ground are provided very quickly and after a small break we travel on to Boundary Bay Airport close Vancouver.

The vast extend of Canada is also reflected in this town. One must bridge wide distances, and orient often anew. The public traffic system is extremely well developed accordingly. Interesting: If you don’t have your fare at hand with exact change your trip is free. You get the advice to pay next time with exact change. A nice gesture often shown to foreign tourists.

In this very modern town urbane life is normality. Old Town, Granville Island, beaches and Stanley Park: all people of Vancouver seem to be on the feet to enjoy the first real summer days.
In the Old Town of course we won’t miss the old clock which is operated by steam. Worldwide there are only two of them.
We find a real nice place not far away from Canada Place (an architectural curiosity, the building seems to launch a trip to the see every moment). Our day in Vancouver ends at the Harbour Water Airport.
