Broome Rw 10, two times slightly right and then approx. 1600 km / 900 NM straight ahead, course 200° direction Perth. We get a feel of the almost infinite appearing width of Australia on this flight. Only shortly before approaching Perth the typical bush land of the Australian Outbacks changes into fertile forest country and arable land.

Quite unexpected the flight ends with an aeronautical highlight. The radar controller leads to us in only 1500ft AMSL directly about the city centre of Perth and the picturesque Swan River to Jandakot airport. As blue and clear skies like here you normally won’ find in Europe. However, the prevailing temperatures immediately remind us at home. It’s good to have pullover and jacket at hand.

Perth and Fremantle resemble European cities very much. The clear air and chill temperatures invite to explore the elegant Perth and the cosy Fremantle by foot and to enjoy ourselves in autumnal sunshine, in the numerous street cafes.
