Next stop is the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. We fly a major part on the same route back. We accepted this detour for the participation in Oshkosh more than happily. The tail wind accelerates the flight. Our inquiry for "Scenic Flight" overhead the Niagara Falls bumps into no opposition. On the contrary: the radar controller in Buffalo shows best understanding for our request and provides us radar vectors, because we don’t have any VFR maps with us. He permits as many orbits as we want directly above the Falls and gives us guidance to the airport thereafter.

More than 2500000 liters /seconds fall 51 meters with thunder into the gorge. The water is crystal clear and constantly there hangs a close foam cloud about the Niagara Falls.
